Full leather binding, appears original, worn and chipped to the edges and corners, leather scuffed, inner hinges cracked, boards holding on by the binding strings. Banded spine, dry and chipped. Ink stain to the title page and a couple of latter pages, though the text is readable. One of the most important books on Forestry published in English, and Evelyn's best known work. Includes a few in text illustrations, as shown. Bookplate of Blanytyre to the inner cover. Front endpaper mostly excised. Internally the pages are largely in good order. Rare.”
