A psychopathic movie projectionist is so immersed in the milieu of classical horror movies that his cinema shows nothing but fright flicks, he dresses like Peter Lorre's child murderer from "M," and he loves to peep at the anguished patrons as they squirm in their seats with fear. After the curtain falls, he stalks and kills his clientele, guaranteeing a short run for each engagement. As creepily self-reflexive as the movies-as-murder classic "Peeping Tom," which is excerpted in a theater scene.
