Seller notes: “Used Ludwig snare drum . It is at least 53 years old and shows some signs of age. It has one small ... “Used Ludwig snare drum . It is at least 53 years old and shows some signs of age. It has one small shallow dig the only mark I could find. It has some slight rust to some of the steel parts. It has a few small spots that the chrome is missing like the area below the keystone. A few of the lugs have some corrosion all have small pitting and many tension bolts have slight rust. It does not say Supraphonic on it anywhere. I tested the shell and hoops with a magnet and they were non ferrous metal/ not magnetic. I am quite sure it is Brass it weighs 9.2 lbs on a postal scale. A similar 1970's supraphonic 10 lug with steel hoops and aluminum shell that I own weighs 7.2 lbs this has too be brass. The snare head is old. 2 of the lugs are a few years newer and are slightly different but are imperial lugs. A handful of the tension rods are newer and are almost exactly the same. The Batter side head is new. Sold as is due to the used condition.. Contact me for questions or offers.”
