Mercy flight of seaplane to bring very sick patient from Trobriand Islands to Pt.Moresby hospital in 1938. Letter addressed to "Monty" Monteith who had been a long employee of Burns Philp in Papua and now working in their Head Office as insurance officer, prior to retirement. Date stamps of Losuia & Pt.Moredsby on reverse of envelope. Fairly scarce item to this destination. Kevin Morgan kindly accepted my offer for this lovely item.

First flight cover plastered in stamps, & signed by the pilot who flew from Pt.Moresby to the mountains, & return. Clear Pt.Moresby date back-stamp. Very fast posting & delivery.
