Schwerpunkte sind dabei die kritische Wurdigung des Gesetzes uber den Rechtsschutz bei uberlangen Gerichtsverfahren und strafrechtlichen Ermittlungsverfahren sowie ein Rechtsvergleich u.a. mit Italien. Die Autorin beleuchtet den gesetzlichen Rahmen fur beschleunigte Strafverfahren, um die notwendigen Folgerungen fur das Prozessrecht zu erarbeiten. Dabei nimmt die Studie Instrumente zur Verfahrensbeschleunigung sowie zur Entlastung der Justiz in den Blick. Ebenso werden etablierte Kompensationswege systematisch analysiert. Das Buch zeigt auf, inwiefern die beschleunigenden Massnahmen in der Gesamtschau als ungenugend im Sinne der Rechtsschutzanforderungen der EMRK bewertet werden mussen. Auch andere Rechtsordnungen legen den Fokus auf Pravention oder Kompensation. Umfassender Rechtsschutz ist aber nur in der Kombination zu gewahrleisten.
