We can’t wait to try it out, it is solid cast iron and seems good value for money although it would take something to get the money back cooking jacket potatoes like this. In the meantime it does make for an interesting feature and talking point sitting on the stove top.

Haven't been able to use it yet because it needs to be seasoned over a couple of days and it simply hasn't been cold enough for us to use the woodburner for two consecutive days. However, not only are we looking forward to potatoes but chestnut - every year we try and do chestnuts but for one reason or another they always end up burnt or inconsistantly cooked. It is going to be easier rotating them in the spud baker,.
