It is also a well-made item with one shortcoming: On the original M-6 Lightweight Gas Mask bag, one end of the waist strap is supposed to be sewn into the side of the bag while the other and is supposed to have a clip allowing for the strap to be loosened or tightened. GIs and re-enactors will tell you the strap was often cut off and - after pitching the mask - used as a carryall for personal items. Just wanted all to know.
