Seller notes: “For sale we have a set of 2 or a pair of matching antique mid 1800's wooden Indian Juggling or ... “For sale we have a set of 2 or a pair of matching antique mid 1800's wooden Indian Juggling or Exercise pins or clubs. These pins are both made from mixed woods, which we feel are tiger maple and cherry. These pins have a excellent and alluring presence and look with a great folky design and a naturally rich aged patina. We can see the stripes of the tiger maple throughout both pins handles. We did our best to picture these areas. These pins are large at approx. 17" in height. We date these to the mid 1800's and feel these are American made. These pins or clubs were Lathe made with the base and tops having the holder marks. The condition on both pins are very good with no breaks, splits, deep scuffs or deep scratches, repairs or alterations. We only see a scuff on the one pin and some natural age usage wear on the long handles. There may also be a flick or two of the patina loss from age and usage. These are lookers and would be a great addition to numerous types of collections.”
