    The listing hinted that the headphones may only need a charger to work ... later after received them and discovering they wouldn't charge I noted the seller was selling another set in white with a charger where they'd stated that the headphones charged perfectly. Clearly it wouldn't make sense for the seller to have a charger and not test the headphones on offer which makes me highly suspicious as to the original listing.

    You can be as suspicious as you like, I have been buying and selling on Ebay for over 25yrs and I try to test all things I sell but it is not always possible. If you cared to check they are a different charging cable that I did not have but you are entitled to your opinion.
