Seller notes: “The off white sack fabric used by the makers have darkened in clusters, all over the quilt, easy to ... “The off white sack fabric used by the makers have darkened in clusters, all over the quilt, easy to notice in many of the photos,. We believe the darkening can be made fainter if the quilt were to be laundered or dry cleaned by the next owner, but we decided against taking any actions ourselves because this is a beautiful, very old piece, with no smells, and the decision of doing anything to it must be taken by someone who will own it and love it for good and decides what to do. We found no holes, no busted seams and no issues with the binding. There are scattered old, brown stains, examples of which are shown on close-ups # and #. The backing is rough sack cotton and it has also darkened over all (it is now almost cream) but it has no holes; it does have faint fold marks in the shape of a cross (check pic # 12). As mentioned before, the quilt has no odors.”
