I received new trumpet as listed. I've played trumpet for 43 years so I'm qualified to rate the quality. The sound quality wasn't as "true" and high in quality as I expected. The description said it was excellent quality even for advanced trumpeters. If rating the quality and right on tune portion by a 1-10 rating, with 10 being the best, I'd give it a 7. Fine for a student, but definitely not what you would want to take to a recording studio as I've done. But for the price I was satisfied
