I had the plastic version with the bottom of the blast casing sealed which caused the gate casing to fill with dust resulting in the gate jamming or not close all the way. These do not exhibit that problem since the casing is open at the bottom. So any dust is evacuated by the closure of the sliding gate thus preventing it from getting jammed.
