Seller notes: “This beautiful Eldon #9826 Touch Command 1968 Corvette Sting Ray was made in Japan to Eldon ... “This beautiful Eldon #9826 Touch Command 1968 Corvette Sting Ray was made in Japan to Eldon Industries Inc, Hawthorne, California, specifications. It is made of high impact, high gloss plastic and has a battery operated motor with remote, touch command. This model is 1/12 scale and is 13 1/2" long and has plastic, chrome trim and black rubber tires. It did not operate when I put 2 "D" batteries in the battery compartment, so I took it apart to see why. The touch command unit uses bellows to create air and activate the motor and steering. The plastic tubing has hardened through the years and has come loose from the bellows that operates the switch for the electric motor. The electric motor worked well when I applied power to it, and I feel sure that if someone would replace the tubing with new flexible tubing, the auto would work. The original box is in good condition with some litho loss on the top and some soiling, It has the original liner and a small plastic egg with th”
