Heavy hitters might find the volume to be not loud enough. i personally really like this small effect cymbal and highly recommend it. I also have the 8" model of this series which i like just as much, if not more. I recommend trying the 8" model first. Try this before buying the Zildjian, Sabian or Mienl ice bells. Like I stated before, I really like these Paiste effect cymbals.
