painted item was wrapped so tightly in so many layers of plastic wrap that I didn't know what was inside. or if it had anything protecting it,consequently I used a knife to cut into the plastic wrap. I cut into the little painting on the front. It wasn't an expensive piece, but it was for my mantel, so it would be a noticible scatch. Not good.
