This point-to-point protocol developed by Intel works in tandem with the integrated memory controller to substantially improve transmission rates. Rapid communication is facilitated between motherboard components and the CPU via a front-side bus (FSB) speed of 6.4 GT/s. Equipped with six 240-pin memory slots, the board supports 24GB of triple channel DDR3 2200/1333/1066/800 RAM. This is optimal for users running programs that require a lot of memory, such as industry-standard editing applications.Built with an ATX type of form factor, the expansive board has plenty of room for multiple storage drives.
