These Bose headphones are unused, but are 6 years old (ascertained by the serial # when I contacted Bose with my problems). When I plugged them in to my I-phone it started acting screwy, volume going up and down, switching to a different song or podcast, totally unusable. Not only that, but my phone now does the same thing with all Bose headphones (my old pair and my son's pair). To their credit the seller immediately refunded my purchase and was very professional. Ymmv, but "buyer beware".
