The bright cut decoration to each piece is very crisp and the applied and pierced ornamentation is very sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the rim of each coaster are very clear; the nature of the coaster dictates the location of the hallmarks to the rim of the base. In many extant coasters, because of this, the hallmarks may become very worn and illegible. In this instance however the hallmarks remain very clear.”
