Pourtant, rien de plus personnel que ces cinq actes en prose conduits avec une eclatante maitrise qui donne aux personnages la profondeur de l'humanite vraie. De la farce jusqu'a l'ironie la plus fine, la piece propose tous les registres du comique. Mais c'est aussi la plus tragique des comedies, qui prend la dimension d'un drame metaphysique.
