This drive has serious issues and is not compatible with a mac. Do not buy this if you use a mac. I had an IT tech come to try to sort it but eventually discovered that even though it says it’s compatible with a mac, there are many instances online of it not working with macs. Fortunately I was able to swap with someone who has a PC. The seller should be aware of this and place this info in any further ads for this item. Not happy
