It is made of a multicolored jewel tone silver tone color silk damask weave brocade fabric with a woven figural scenic design of people in boats, on bridges, pagoda shrine temples and trees. This beautiful brocade Chinese cheongsam Mandarin dress has a fitted style below the knee long length with side slit vents, a stiffened mandarin collar, short sleeves, red and white silk fabric trim edging with decorative pankou knot closures on the front neckline, snaps, side zipper closures and is unlined. Manchu women wore a one-piece dress which were called "qipao", "banner dress" or "Mandarin Gown" and becoming the traditional dress for Chinese women. The dress measures 45 inches long, with a 36 inch chest, 30 inch waist, 36 inch hips, 15 inch back and 14 inch neck. It is in good condition, with only faint discoloration inside the neck collar and a small fray on the front trim neck (see clo”
