Product Information
Fantastic Voyage takes the basic premise of the 1966 film--that of being shrunk down to microscopic size and injected into a human body--and turns it a vertically scrolling shooter similar to River Raid, but without the colorful graphics, the fun gameplay, and the ever-present fuel concerns. Players pilot a submarine through the patient's bloodstream, firing a laser ray at defense cells, bacteria and blood clots. In certain phases of the game players must avoid blood cells that are beneficial to the patient's health. There's plenty of challenge to be had (levels are timed, vessels shrink), but not enough in the way of sheer shoot-'em-up entertainment.
