Seller notes: “The plate is on the whole very good with no rubbing - slight signs of age as would be expected and ... “The plate is on the whole very good with no rubbing - slight signs of age as would be expected and the top lid has some surface wear in the grooves, The inner base of the metal bowl has some plate loss. but this is smooth and not corroded so the piece could be used. The outer wood is good some age patina but good finish and no splits or cracks. The finial has some age cracks but in one piece and not about to fall apart - looks like bone . In overall good condition and fully useable and displays very well.”
