these balls are NOT stainless steel but plastic and they are not even a bright silver in colour as shown in the listing...
but have a dark hue to them and are lightly scuffed all over and do not give a clear reflection.....
i was hoping to use them in photography but they are not of a suitable quality....
however if you're just wanting to toss a few in your garden they would likely be fine for that : )
at least they're not expensive : )

Dear customer, it seems you misunderstood plastic and steel. Plastic is much lighter, softer and more flammable. If you don't use it any more, you can try to cut or burn it under safe condition, you will easily find it's not plastic but steel. This ball was welded by 2 half 304 stainless spheres then highly polished, it's not chrome plated. Its feature is stainless and can anti rust for years, it's for kinds of ornaments, please don't use it as optical part or escher sphere art work purpose.
