Not the best for water bottles. I bought this for the kids to open 16.9 oz water bottles, it is awkward to use for that, you have to turn it upside-down and does not fit very good upside-down because it is tapered the wrong direction, but it should work good for other bottles. I am looking for something else easier for the kids to use. I am leaving a five star rating only because the seller was real quick to ship it.
