very nice piece though it is actually a machine stitched quilt and only the borders and pieces are then hand outline stitched in large run around stitches. So its not really a hand appliqué; more of an after sewn on outline with large hand stitches. Still nice though:) Disappointing you cannot SEE the hand stitching at all except on the borders due to machine zig zag stitching attaching the pieces to the squares stitched together etc. But still nice. Fun piece.
