“Fine old Czech violin - Josef Lidl workshop late 1800s / early 1900s. Please listen to the video/soundfile & scroll down to see all detailed XXL photos below as part of the description! The violin is in fine, immediate playing condition and was carefully worked over in our workshop, where it received new set-up with new ebony pegs, new ebony chinrest, a new bridge and new strings. Labeled inside the body and stamped on the upper back. This beautiful violin shows no open cracks or open seams. The table is medium to fine grained spruce and the 2-piece back is nicely flamed maple. Pegs, fingerboard, tailpiece and chinrest are ebony. Like always the instrument has been completely checked by our violin player on playability. Measures aprox.: total 59 cm / 23.2'', body 35,5 cm / 14'', vibrating chord length 32,5 cm / 12.8'', weight 495 gr / ~17.43 oz.”
