I have several hair barrettes from Bayside Brush Company. This new one is as well made and beautiful as the others. The surface is a beautiful mat finish with minute raised decoration between the diamonds. I chose the tortoiseshell color. Most importantly, these Camila of Paris barrettes do not pull hair when closing or releasing and they do not slip out. A wonderful find!

This is the first negative feedback I have ever sent. I sent at lease three messages to the seller requesting a refund. No response. This is a small amount of money; however, it is a matter of customer service, promise of return, and principle. The item was a piece of cheap imprinted plastic -- not like the description. I am disappointed by both a misleading description and no response. I thought long and hard before writing this. Buyer beware!
