We successfully erased and reinstalled Windows on the device, but it seemed very sluggish and sometimes would hange on the "Surface" logo boot screen. We're not entirely sure what is wrong with it, but given the cosmetic damage and symptoms, it may have internal damage as well causing the hanging/sluggish behavior. It's possible it may not boot at all for the new owner given the erratic symptoms. The top right corner of the device is bent. No further testing has been completed. The full history of the item is unknown. It is unknown what specifically is wrong with the item.
