This package of two films pays tribute to comedian Richard Pryor featured in unusual roles. BLACK BRIGADE finds Captain Carter (Stephen Boyd) an officer in World War II who must lead a troop on a suicide mission into Nazi territory. Carter, who is white, is assigned to an all-Black unit that has seen no action other than digging graves and latrines. With just two days to prepare for Operation London Bridge, Carter must whip the unit into shape. Among the cast are other early performances by Billy Dee Williams and Rosie Grier. THE THREE MUSCATELS finds college student (played by Flynn Pryor) falling asleep reading THE THREE MUSKETEERS and dreaming of an altered version of the classic tale. Richard Pryor plays multiple roles in this film, such as a bartender and a barfly.
