This scanner had the WORST reception AND demodulation of a simple FM and AM carrier I had EVER seen on any radio scanner. Usually I am very positive about radioshack scanners being VERY good (as they are), but this one had HORRBILE audio coming out of its speaker, when I tried tuning into my NOAA weather frequencies. Obviously the guy who sold me this was a railfan and forgot to factory reset everything, and probably ended up roughousing with it. half the channels had rail frequencies on it.

This is a $30 radio shack scanner, it is not meant for music listening on AM or FM channels, the speaker is literally 1 inch in diameter. I did not roughhouse with it at all. In fact, it was in very good shape.
