About this product
Product Information
The U.S. space station, Citadel, was viewed by the Soviet Union as a military platform rather than the science station the United States claimed it to be. In 1998, two weeks after the Citadel transmitted a distress signal, the majority of satellites orbiting the Earth were destroyed. Out of panic the powers of the world launched 90% of their nuclear arsenals into the sky. Afterward, only pockets of civilization continued to exist.

In the southwestern United States one of those pockets of civilization existed. The people of the area took control of a federal prison for shelter and expelled the prisoners into the radiation filled environment. This settlement became known as the Ranger Center and grew into one of the strongest outposts. Realizing that they were not the only survivors of this nuclear holocaust the people of Ranger Center decided that they must help the other survivors. In an effort to help those survivors the Desert Rangers were created.

As the leader of the Desert Rangers you are to create four characters. During your investigation of the desert you can also recruit three non-player characters. Arm yourselves well as you are about to enter into a post-nuclear holocaust environment. One filled with the expelled prisoners, mutated animals, and a variety of other deadly adversaries.
