While the arcade game's notorious difficulty has been scaled back, hardcore players looking for a challenge worthy of their skills will find it in the title's "ultimate" mode. Ultimate Ghosts 'N Goblins also includes a level-up system for enhanced attacks, a save feature between stages, and an assortment of weapons and armor to help stave off the enemy's relentless advances.
