Delivery:
We will endeavour to deliver to the UK mainland within 5 working days (excluding weekends & public holidays or as per stated delivery time in listing) of receipt and completion of your order, however delays are occasionally inevitable due to unforeseen factors. The Factory Shops (Essex) Ltd shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver within estimated time scales.
All items delivered require a signature. If a signature is obtained from any person other than the named customer at the specified delivery address, the named customer is still responsible for the item and any charges associated with it.
Shipping costs will vary according to size, weight and location. You will be advised accordingly of the cost once your order has been received.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your goods are checked BEFORE signing the delivery note. If you have received an item that is damaged, it is VERY IMPORTANT that you sign the delivery note as "damaged". You must notify us of any damage within 24 hours of receipt. We will then arrange to collect and replace your item within the usual time scales as indicated in the terms of delivery. We cannot accept claims for damaged goods if the courier has obtained a clean signature or if more than 24 hours after delivery or where offered the optional insurance has not been paid.
We are unable process claims for damaged packaging where the content is undamaged. The function of the packaging is to protect the contents whilst the item is in transit.
No claim for damage can be processed if the delivery note is not signed 'damaged' or you did not notify us within 24 hours of the damage from receipt of the delivery.
If you have not received your item within 7 working days of despatch of your order please contact us through the eBay message system. If the courier has attempted to deliver your item and has left a card you must contact the couriers direct. If we have had an item returned back to us due to non communication on your part, you will be responsible for additional shipping costs.
We will despatch items as soon as payment has been received and cleared. Requests for a delay in despatching an item cannot be guaranteed to be actioned and any liability for a returned delivery due to no one present at the delivery address at the time of delivery will be with the buyer.
Delivery Addresses:
We cannot be held responsible for non delivery of items if the delivery address given is not correct or incomplete (i.e. no house name or number/street details etc). If this is incorrect or incomplete the item may be returned to our warehouse by the courier. If this occurs then you will be liable for the costs of the item to be returned to us and then re-despatched back to you. For example two times the original delivery charge.
Specifically all items purchased through eBay will be despatched to exactly the delivery address you have registered with eBay. If this is incorrect or incomplete the item may be returned to our distribution warehouse. If this occurs then you will be liable for the costs of the item to be returned to us and then re-despatched back to you. For example two times the original delivery charge.
Please check your details registered with eBay before making payment, failure to have your correct address will result in a delayed delivery and possible extra charges.
For eBay purchases we use the delivery address registered with eBay, if you request an alternative delivery address either by email or any other form of communication then although we will endeavour to comply with this request we cannot guarantee that either we will receive this information or use this information on your delivery. If the item is delivered to the address registered on eBay, even if you have requested an alternative address then our commitment is fulfilled.
All costs must be paid before any item is re-despatched.
Refusal of a delivery:
Refusal of a delivery will make you liable for a charge equal to the original delivery for the item to be returned to us and a further charge for the item to be redelivered. For example a refusal of a delivery for any reason will mean you are liable for an extra cost of twice the original delivery charge.
The correct procedure is to accept the delivery, if damaged sign delivery note as such and contact us within 24 hours. We can then advise the course of action for a replacement.
Returns, Cancellations & Substitutions:
Items won on an auction are non-refundable and you can not cancel your auction win on eBay, this is a legally binding contract. Please make sure you require the item before bidding. If you receive the item we will not accept a return if you decide you no longer require the item either for a refund or to swap for a different product.
You have a right to cancel your order for any item purchased on a fixed priced sale for a full refund within seven days after receipt. However, you must take reasonable care of the item/s and must not open them. You will be responsible for the shipping costs both to and from your address. To return your item you must advise us by email or in writing. You will be responsible for the item until it arrives back with us in an undamaged condition. If the item is returned damaged in any way then we will not be able to offer a refund and it will be your responsibility to arrange the pickup of the item at you cost.
Pricing & Payment:
While we try and ensure that all prices are accurate, errors may rarely occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of continuing with your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled.
All prices include VAT at the applicable current rates but exclude delivery charges.
No item will be despatched until full payment has been received and cleared by the bank. For this reason electronic means of payment are preferred.
Warranty General Conditions:
If the item is found to have a faulty part we reserve the right to send a replacement for that part rather than a complete replacement item.
Any warranty given or implied will be a return to base warranty and you will be responsible for all shipping costs incurred. You must use any manufacturer repair or replacement service provided. If you wish to return any faulty item you must first contact us through the eBay message system.
If we cannot repair your item we will replace it with an item of equal or greater specification. You will be responsible for all shipping costs incurred. (This does not affect your statutory rights).
Items returned to us need to be examined and any necessary repair or replacement can take up to 30 day to process from receipt of returned goods to despatch of replacement/repaired item. If the item is not in stock then it may take more than 30 days to despatch the replacement as it will have to be ordered from the manufacturer but we will advise on this.
Warranty for Used / Refurbished Products:
If an item is sold as used or refurbished then there is no warranty unless otherwise stated in the listing.

Whilst we do our best to ensure that stocks of products are available there may be occasions where broken or damaged stock prevents us from fulfilling an order. In such instances you will be given the choice to wait for stock to arrive or be given a full refund.
