Propelled to fame during the Golden Age of Mexican cinema, Pedro Infante was one of the country's biggest stars. Nicknamed El Ídolo, the dashing actor had a prolific film career that boasted over 60 pictures. Tragically, Infante died in a plane crash in 1957, breaking the hearts of millions of fans and abruptly bringing to an end, some say, this boom period for Mexico's burgeoning film industry. In this release from the COLECCION PEDRO INFANTE, however, his legacy lives on. Included here is the melodrama NO DESEARAS LA MUJER DE TU HIJO, directed by Infante's frequent collaborator Ismael Rodríguez, in which a father and son fight for the love of the same woman.
