The cornet works. It sounds a bit stuffed, like it has a cold. The bell is a smaller diameter than I expected. I needed pliers to open one valve cover, and the finger rest slide.
However for the price, one gets a cornet that works.
I did NOT need it. I DID want to see what a cheap cornet offers, and is missing.
My experiment was a success. I appreciate the sound and mechanics of a more expensive cornet.
I also see the feeble springs in the cheap pistons. I expect it to fail in time.
