Pre Royal Doulton / Pinder Partnership. P B & H. Pinder, Bourne & Hope, Burslem. Multicolour, Flowers, Leaves & Scrolls, with prominent gilding. Faint surface scratches and wear to the ceramic lid-cover and dish. Tureen lid-cover has an old undeveloped crack (see images). This is more evident on the inside rather than on the outside of the lid-cover. Small faint paint imperfections in the ceramic body. Light crazing to the lid-cover and dish. Staining and depression marks from drying/kiln firing. Slight fading to the gilding in parts. Graceful gilding to both lid and tureen. NO chips. NO restorations. (see all images). Condition commensurate with age. Considering the age of the pieces, it is in great condition. Darkened some images to highlight the 'Diamond Mark' impressions. Backstamp: Pinder Bourne & Hope. Date: January 1855. Material: Clayware. Other marks: Madras Pattern #3588.”
