Seller notes: “An absolutely beautiful and very rare antique silver plated novelty model cannon with gun carriage ... “An absolutely beautiful and very rare antique silver plated novelty model cannon with gun carriage for the dining , conference, ball, table, with the gun carriage serving after dinner mints cigars , sweets, favours or whatever you desire around the table. Engraved to the inside of the artillary box ' Drew & Sons - Picadilly Circus - London '. Also with the raised wording on the underside of both carriages ' Made in England - Silver Plated. Most likely dating to around the 1930's - 1950's?The carriage with hinged lid and drop down front, all wheels turning and free enabaling the cannon to be pushed, up, down and around the table for serving. The cannon being solid, non operational and with free turning wheels to its own carriage on which it sits and can be removed. The artillery box can be removed from its carriage if desired but the lid can be still opened for serving without removing it, finely crafted hinged lid and and with a similar hinged drop down front.”
