2 of the drums came with a flawed finish. Was put in contact with mapex rep and he tried to resolve the issue by sending out a new set but they were flawed as well. Ended up picking out the 2 with the least noticeable flaw but a $3k a set, they shouldn't be flawed at all. Rep was pretty nice to deal with although the ebay seller really seemed to have developed an attitude. Wouldn't buy again.

Buyer's concerns about flaws on 2 drums pertained to visibility of a seam on the exotic veneer finish. We sent direct quotes from Mapex to Buyer the seam is normal for this series-There is no option to remove/conceal the seam. Mapex called Buyer; 5 new drums shipped to him. He was able to choose the drums he wanted. We understand the seam on Back Side of the Floor Tom and Bass Drum seam Facing the Floor is not what Buyer wants, but we can't provide options outside the scope of the Mapex catalog.
