The item was exactly as described. I was fearing that it might smell of moth balls, but no! it has a very faint odor of someone's tasteful perfume. I am very happy with the purchase (well it's a birthday present so I won't be wearing it for a few weeks). I am very sad that Filson doesn't make this product any more!
