This is the perfect home use scale if you want professional level accuracy and repeatability. One weakness: it does not auto power-off, which will drain the batteries quickly. If you want to use a DC adapter, you need a 9v center-positive output with a size H plug. However, I paid a few dollars extra to have the item sent by UPS, and the seller sent it by Fedex anyway. Fedex is much less reliable than UPS and the item took longer to arrive.
