Ferner ermoeglicht die Arbeit es dem Leser, die in den administrativen Bereichen auftretenden Verschwendungsarten zu identifizieren. Am Beispiel eines mittelstandischen Maschinenbauunternehmens wird gezeigt, welches Potenzial der Einsatz von Lean Administration Methoden auf die Effizienzsteigerung in einem ausgewahlten administrativen Prozess haben kann. Anhand geeigneter Literatur werden zunachst die Grundlagen sowie der aktuelle Stand der Wissenschaft zum Thema dargelegt. Anschliessend wird der administrative Bereich der Auftragsabwicklung zwischen Kundenanfrage und dem Versenden der Auftragsbestatigung durch eine ausgewahlte Lean Administration Methode dargestellt und analysiert. Ziel ist es, den Prozess transparent zu machen und moegliche Verschwendungen und Potenziale zu erkennen. Die Ergebnisse werden am Ende der Arbeit in Form von Handlungsempfehlungen, welche den betrachteten Prozess effizienter gestalten sollen, dargestellt. Diese zeigen, wie durch kleine Veranderungen eine deutliche Verbesserung des Prozesses moeglich ist und dadurch zu einer Entlastung der Mitarbeiter trotz einer geringeren Durchlaufzeit fuhrt.
