Absolutely beautiful wood. Nice and straight, truss rod works well. Note to beginners... EVERY NEW NECK NEEDS SOME fret dressing. This one was much better than usual. It played very good right out of the box, but understand this. Any new guitar anything needs time to settle in...untill it's mounted and under tension for a few months, expect changes. There's nothing wrong. This happens even with a $400 fender neck. For what you're saving you can buy a few very simple and inexpensive tools...
