Drove through some serious rain and water did get into the box, but only a little bit and our gear wasn’t wet or damaged. Recommend also buying a couple straps to go around the box. Shouldn't need them, but have seen the aftermath when the wind has lifted the top off of other carriers and not looking to have the same thing happen to me!
