I purchased antique sterling spoons (over 200 yrs. old) and was charged 10 pounds 14 pence BPS for "sales tax" which I do not understand since there is neither English VAT on items leaving the country nor tax on antiques brought into the United States. I would appreciate an explanation of this charge, please.

Hello. As per our previous exchange of messages, these taxes are levied by eBay's Global Shipping Programme. I have no control over what they charge you and I do not receive this tax money. I do not know if the taxes are correct or not but this is something you need to take up with eBay rather than leave it as feedback on your purchase from me. I strongly suggest that you contact eBay customer services and let them know your issue.
