The color is more brown than some of the images appear but it looks great on my Cedar top Rosewood Grand Auditorium. I use the Dunlop Straplock on all of my straps. It was a bit of a challenge getting the lock onto the strap due to the thickness of leather at the neck end. I had to compress the washers together with pliers to get the snap ring in the groove. I had a similar experience with my Nefelibata straps too.
