My grateful thanks for the fine 1896 Cyprus Half Piastre Green & Carmine, Crown CA, Die II, (SG:40) cancelled by the VERY RARE 1899 undated "RURAL / V. R. / LIONARISSO. / SERVICE" (Proud Type D1*). *NOTE: This canceller was only in use from 1901 until 1904, before it was replaced in 1906 by the very scarce Proud Type D2 this lasted 18-4-1907 to 9-5-1931.
