This ignition coil solved my incredibly weak spark problem with my original 40 year old coil. It fits right up and looks the same on my '83 Honda XL600R The spark still looks kinda weak, yet my bike starts OK and runs well. The primary resistance is only .25 ohms and the secondary is a mere 2.95K, which is not so close to the .9 ohms and 4K of the stock coil, when brand spanking new. Yet, what the hey, it WORKS OK as maybe I am too used to a car coil output.

The coil works well once installed but I have to drill and additional hole as the coil mount was too short. The coil is stated as fitting my bike a 1971 Honda CB175 but in fact does not.
