There are some rough spots on the 4 inch O.D. lip, but without any sharp edges, and hidden when installed. The visible areas of the shade are free of any chips, cracks, or repairs. The paint shows some wear, and some dark areas, possibly dirt that didn't come off when we wiped it down with a lightly moistened paper towel prior to taking pictures. You may be able to clean further with more aggressive cleaning fluids, but we wanted to be careful with the paint. The paint overall seems about 90% intact or better. The interior has a few spots of dirt, but overall is substantially clean and won't require much additional attention. This should be a charming piece when illuminated. All pictures show the actual shade you will receive, and the views of the sides include all 4 sides.”
