The typewriter fits into it with no problem and with enough space on sides and top to stuff with bubble wrap to keep it from sliding. I put a folded up paper towel in the handle area before latching in order to let the interior breathe. If I cannot find a real authentic travel case I will probably drill a small hole in this case for the same purpose. Thanks!
